Research
Filbau and the New European Bauhaus
In 2023, Filbau formed a team led by Silvester Filkorn to research and develop innovative window, door, façade and solar shading systems with integrated photovoltaics. With our wealth of experience and tradition in the industry, we efficiently exploit the potential of building-integrated and applied photovoltaics.
Through clever prototyping technologies, we have made optimal use of previously unused vertical surfaces of window, door and solar shading systems in protected zones, while significantly increasing the energy efficiency of PV modules.
Our innovation enables more than 60 million people in Europe to use photovoltaics efficiently and profitably for the first time, while reducing the load on power grids.
